To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great interest that I now write regarding the co-op opportunity with your company from January until April 2004. Currently, I am in the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Commerce program at Dalhousie University in Canada. As a transfer student, I have also completed a third year in the Department of International Trade at Hangzhou University of Commerce, as well as several significant internships, in China. The combined experiences in both Canada and China provide me with the necessary skills and training for future positions.
Previous employment positions have also been extremely beneficial. Through them, I have enhanced not only my skills in information collection and various communication techniques abilities, but my initiative, teamwork, and flexibility skills as well. While at both the Zhejiang G&F Foreign Trading Co. Ltd. And Yibin Bristle Factory, for example, I assisted the managers and directors in affairs processing, while, concurrently, aiding in time management and costumer service issues. The experience I gained through active participation in the Guangzhou (Canton) Export Commodity Fair—the most important of all international trade fairs held in China—included first-hand knowledge and familiarity with research gathering and dissemination to the industry customers. Additionally, document processing related to business offers, sales contracts, orders, and invoices all included valuable experiences working with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
As a student leader for well over ten years in schools that I have attended, I have also gained excellent and valuable organizational and teamwork skills, as well as strong attention to detail. On a more personal note, I am also a fast learner, a responsible and dependable person, and I possess integrity. Always possessing a drive to learn and being good at learning from others helps to enable me to complete given tasks efficiently and effectively—a characteristic supported by both my high marks and academic awards in school, and excellent evaluations from past employers. In short, my previous studies and work experiences have helped to mold me into an exceedingly capable, energetic, and competent employee.
I look forward, in earnest, to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.
Most Sincerely,
BAI Jie
